Call for Speakers

You are invited to speak at Mfg4 2014, presented by SME, leaders in event development, management and production.

SME the producers of EASTEC, offers Mfg4 and the co-located MicroManufacturing Conference, an event for industry, developed by industry, with an emphasis on industry-specific solutions with attention to cross-collaboration. Mfg4 addresses the needs of growth industries and brings them together to integrate and solve production problems.

Crossing medical, aerospace, defense and more, MicroManufacturing at Mfg4 will address challenges in creating micro features and micro parts. Covering micro machining, molding, metrology and more, this conference brings together industry professionals to discuss the latest developments and to improve your process today.

The Evaluation Process

Members of the Conference Advisory Committee evaluate all proposed abstracts based on the following criteria: overall quality, relevance to the industry, well-defined focus within the program structure, practical applications of material, timeliness of the topic, and speaker qualifications.

To be considered as a speaker, your program must be educational in nature — sales presentations will not be accepted. The final program selections and notifications will be made four months prior to the event. You will be notified by email if your presentation is selected.

Presentation Guidelines

As a selected speaker, you will receive complimentary event registration. Presenting at this event is considered voluntary without compensation for speaking or travel. Two types of speaking opportunities are available.

INDUSTRY INTERSECTION: You will have approximately 20 minutes to deliver your presentation including a brief session for question and answer. These presentations are open to all event participants.

MICROMANUFACTURING CONFERENCE: You will have approximately 30 minutes to deliver your presentation including a brief session for question and answer. These presentations are open to MicroManufacturing Conference participants.

Important Dates

To make the most of your participation and to provide attendees with the best conference experience, we will ask you to provide us with a few things if you are chosen as a speaker. Below is a list of forms/materials and deadlines for some of the items you can expect to submit.

 

October 30, 2013 Deadline for online Call for Speakers submission form
January 17, 2014 Speaker selection and presentation acceptance notification
April 8, 2014 Speaker paper and/or presentation due to SME for event proceedings
April 8, 2014 Confirmed speaker forms due to SME (biography, A/V requirements, registration form, author reprint form)
